Submission guidelines
Terms for Article Publication in the Emblecat Journal
The study should be sent to revista@emblecat.com. Please note that the study must remain anonymous, and the author's details should be submitted on a separate sheet.
LANGUAGES
Submissions are accepted in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, and Portuguese.
TEXT
Length between 10 and 15 pages. Pages must be numbered, and the document should remain unformatted.
Submissions must be sent via email by April 30. Any article received after this date will be considered for inclusion in the next issue. Submissions must remain anonymous, as the author's details (authorship declaration and publication authorization) should be provided in a separate document.
If it is necessary to cite a study by the text's author, it must be referenced in the third person, like any other citation, to ensure anonymity during the review and approval process.
In a separate file, a brief CV should be included with the author’s name, academic affiliation, ORCID identification number (available at http://orcid.org/), postal address, email, and contact phone number. Personal metadata linked to the publication (name and surname, professional affiliation, ORCID number, country) will be associated with the article through DOI assignment via CrossRef.
The text will be published in the author's original language without translation. A summary (maximum 10 lines), along with the title and 4-5 keywords, must be provided in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
Title: Times New Roman, size 14 (no underlining or capitalization).
Author: Omitted for anonymity during the review process (author details will be added for publication, including name, email, and academic affiliation).
Text: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.
Footnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, single spacing. Footnotes should be used for clarifications, comments, or bibliographic citations in the following format: Pérez, A. (1924). Title of the book or article. Publisher, p. 25.
Style: The use of plural courtesy or impersonal forms is recommended for scientific articles. Words in a language different from the article’s text should be italicized. Unnecessary spacing should be avoided. Paragraphs should NOT start with tabs or indentations. Underlining should only be used when part of a transcription. Titles should not be written in uppercase; uppercase should be reserved for the beginning of a sentence. Titles should not end with a period, except for references or bibliography titles.
Citations in the text: These should be indicated with superscript Arabic numerals placed after punctuation marks.
Long citations: Quotes longer than four lines should be in a separate paragraph. Quotations should be enclosed in French quotation marks «…» and not italicized. If citing a document transcription, it should be included under the “Documents” section at the end, numbered (e.g., Document 1…). These transcriptions should be enclosed in quotation marks, with the source location provided. A reference to the document should be included in the text (e.g., doc. 1, doc. 2, etc.).
ILLUSTRATIONS
A maximum of 20 illustrations is allowed, with additional images permitted upon approval by the Editorial Board.
Illustrations should be numbered, and a separate file should include their captions. Indicate in the text where each image should be placed (e.g., fig. 1, fig. 2, etc.).
Emblecat reserves the right to reject images due to low resolution, lack of space, or other reasons. Images should be in JPG or TIFF format at 300 dpi resolution. They may be submitted in a separate document or as specified, always accompanied by captions.
Responsibility for image rights: Authors must ensure that appropriate permissions have been obtained, where necessary.
CITATION STANDARDS AND FORMAT
References and citations must follow APA 7th Edition guidelines.
Where possible, citations of books, articles, conference proceedings, etc., should include a DOI, ensuring the link is functional.

STUDY PROCESSING
The study must be sent to revista@emblecat.com, and it should remain anonymous. Author details (name, email, institution, and ORCID number) should be submitted on a separate sheet.
The Editorial Board reviews the study to ensure it aligns with the journal's editorial line. If the study meets the requirements, it is sent to the Scientific Committee and then to external reviewers for a double-blind peer review.
Anonymous reviewers will evaluate the quality of the original works using the parameters specified in the provided template.
The possible outcomes of the evaluation are:
- Acceptance of the study.
- Acceptance subject to revisions suggested by the reviewers.
- Initial rejection, with the possibility of resubmission after revision.
- Final rejection.
Reviewers operate under the coordination of an Editorial Board member. Within four months of provisional acceptance by the Editorial Board, authors are updated on the process via email. Authors must return revised texts within 15 days of notification if improvements are required.
Emblecat annually publishes a “call for papers” announcing the research themes for the upcoming issue.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to return articles that do not comply with the guidelines or meet the established criteria.
By submitting the text, authors explicitly agree to transfer the rights of publication and authorize Emblecat to publish the work in both print and digital editions on its website (www.emblecat.com).
No corrections or changes will be accepted from the author more than one month after notification by the Editorial Board to avoid delays in the final layout process.
All images in this journal, unless otherwise stated, are used under the provisions of Article 32.1 (Quotation and illustration for teaching) of the Intellectual Property Law 23/2006.
